Frequently Asked Questions About Donations
Can I get a tax receipt?
Yes. A tax receipt is issued for donations of $20 or more, regardless of the donation method used. For donations made through Zeffy, CanadaHelps, or PayPal, the receipt is sent automatically. For donations by cheque or Interac e-Transfer, it is sent within 5 business days. Donations under $20 are accepted, but no tax receipt will be issued.
Can I make a monthly donation?
Yes. You can support La Ressource with a monthly donation starting at $5 through Zeffy, CanadaHelps, or PayPal. Monthly donations provide us with reliable, ongoing support to continue our mission and maintain the quality of our services.
How is my donation used?
Yes. You can make a donation in honour or in memory of someone who is important to you, or on behalf of your company. When making your donation, enter the requested information in the appropriate fields, when this option is available with the selected donation method. The person’s name may be included in our annual report, depending on the visibility preferences provided when the donation is made.

What is the difference between Zeffy, CanadaHelps, and PayPal?
All three platforms allow you to make a one-time or monthly donation starting at $5.
Zeffy: No transaction fees for La Ressource. Zeffy may suggest an optional contribution to support its platform; this contribution is not included in the tax receipt.
CanadaHelps: A $0.12 transaction fee applies. According to the information provided, the tax receipt amount corresponds to the donation amount minus this fee.
PayPal: No transaction fee is applied to the donation by La Ressource.
A tax receipt is sent automatically for eligible donations of $20 or more.
